Chhatbir Zoo Zirakpur

Chhatbir zoo is located in a calm and spacious forest in the Zirakpur region. The first proposal to establish a Zoological Park at Chhatbir was mooted in the year 1973. A state-level advisory council headed by Shri M. M. Chaudhary, the then Honorable Governor of Punjab was formed on 7th January 1974 to evolve policies, and broad strategies and decide on the overall plan of this Zoological Park.

The best place to visit is the Chhatbir zoo in Chandigarh. You can reach this spot by local transport, taxis, or your own vehicle. Many wild animals can be found in the area. There are many water and bird species.
