Gurudwara Amb Sahib Mohali
Gurudwara Amb Sahib is one of the main religious and historical sites for the Sikhs and followers of Sikhism and is patronized by People of all religions. It is one of the historical places in Mohali, the place became sacred after Guru Har Rai, the seventh Guru of Sikhs, visited.
The name of the site ‘Amb’ is derived from Punjabi, which means mangoes. It is believed that Guru Har Rai performed a miracle and grew a mango tree in the gurudwara so that Bhai Kooram could serve mangoes to his guru. Today, the tree still exists. An annual fair is held every, where mangoes are distributed as prasad.
The Gurudwara Amb Sahib is situated in phase 8 of Mohali, The nearest buildings are Fortis Heart Hospital, Puda office, and Punjab school Education board office. The gurudwara is situated on the main road of Mohali near amb chowk of 7 phase.
Langar is available for Sangat 24 hours. Rooms are also provided for those who come to darshan from other cities. There are 60 rooms with 2 or 3 beds with attached bathrooms. Six halls for 180 persons.
