Gurdwara Angitha Sahib is located in Sector 62, Mohali. It is located in the SAS Nagar district of Punjab. Offering an opportunity to meditate peacefully, this gurudwara has gained a lot of popularity. Two major personalities known for their spirituality have also added to the popularity of this Gurudwara. These personalities are Bhai Kuram Ji who was an ardent follower of Shri Guru Har Rai and Sant Baba Ishar Singh. The latter was the follower of Sant Baba Atar Singh Ji. People believe that both Baba ji’s have meditated at this place for a long time. They also worked a lot for the development of the Sikh Religion. They worked tirelessly to spread the teaching mentioned in Gurbani.
During their visit they worked, consistently, to woo the minds of the Sikh Community towards linking their Hearts and Souls with the Gurbani. There is a sacred memorial place for saints here as well as a memorial to Bhai Kuram Ji.
Baba Ishar Singh Ji raised three Gurdwaras, listed in the order of their construction, they are:
- Gurudwara Amb Sahib Constructed with bricks the Gurdwara is currently maintained by its own committee.
- Gurdwara Bowli Sahib Dhakoli at Ambala.
- Angitha Sahib. Here Baba Ji built his own room. His accessories are kept here today. Baba Mahinder Singh, also called ‘Sant Baba Mahinder Singh’, is Angitha Sahib’s current Baba Ji.
Every year on Sant Baba Ishar Singh’s barsee there is organize a huge samagam of kirtan and Jalebis Langar.
Contrasted against the lush green lawn and beautiful plantings of the entryway, the Gurdwara Sahib, clad on all four sides with carved marble panels and tiles of pristine white, is truly unique. Balconies surround the Gurdwara on each floor and the five milky white ‘Sky – Socketting’ Samads (tombs) that crown the Gurdwara’s roof add to the architectural beauty of the monument. At night, when draped with glittering strings of lights on festive occasions, the Gurdwara glows like a shimmering jewel box of some historic Maharaj.
The Shrine serves as a fitting and noble landmark to the memory of the Sewa (service) of these historic men of the Sikh Community.
The Gurudwara complex includes:
- Darshani Deodi
- Darbar Sahib
- Tapasthaan – Sant Baba Ishar Singh Ji Lambia Sahib Wale

At this place, the Guru blessed his Gursikh, Bhai Kuram, who now felt contented and at peace having fulfilled his ambition by witnessing mangoes out of season. Another shrine linked to Bhai Kuram Ji is Gurudwara Angitha Sahib (Mohali) in remembrance of him.
One can also visit the beautiful Darshani Deodi, or the peaceful Darbar Sahib; even holy places like Tapasthaan can be visited, and many other interesting places.
Though, there are no great celebrations observed at this Gurudwara, the main celebrations that are organized at a grand level at Mahan Gurmat Samagam that is held on the 10th of June every year at Gurdwara Sant Mandal Angitha Sahib. This program takes place during the occasion of ‘Gurgadi Diwas’ of Guru Angad Dev at the place called Khadoor Sahib.
A great place to worship and do Sewa.
